Our Story
For years, I worked in the world of remote hiring and global talent.
During that time, I saw firsthand how difficult hiring remotely still is for most businesses. Companies know they need help. They know remote work is the future. But when it comes to actually finding reliable international talent, the process is often confusing, expensive, and frustrating.
Most employers do not know where to start.
Some turn to traditional recruiting agencies and pay thousands of dollars in placement fees. Others try massive freelance marketplaces and get overwhelmed by low-quality applicants, endless searching, and inconsistent results.
At the same time, one country kept standing out to me over and over again: South Africa.
The talent was exceptional. Communication was strong. The cultural alignment with US, UK, and Australian companies felt natural. And yet, despite the growing demand for South African professionals, there still was not a dedicated platform built specifically around that talent market.
So I built HireSA.
Not as a recruiting agency. Not as another overpriced middleman.

Hi, I'm Mathew, founder of HireSA.
My background is in sales, remote hiring, and business development. Over the years, I've worked closely with fast-growing companies building remote teams across multiple regions around the world.
What has always interested me most is helping businesses scale through great people.
I've seen how transformational the right hire can be, especially for founders and small teams. One great remote employee can completely change the trajectory of a business.
That's what inspired me to build HireSA.
I believe South Africa is one of the most underrated remote talent markets in the world, and I want to make it easier for businesses everywhere to discover that talent directly.
